At any moment, there are hundreds of buildings under construction, for longer or shorter periods of time. A building under construction is looked upon as being a void, a non-existent place, in transformation between the already changed ‘old’ and the not-yet ‘new’.

Blue Episode Foundation approaches visual artists with the question: How would you react to an architectural space that is being transformed by renovation or rebuild? In a series of exhibitions, artists attempt to answer this question by generating new site-specific work.
